She arrives wearing a gown of deepest, sparkling blue, just moments before eight costumed figures appear at the Grand Ballroom. One of them is King Louis XV in disguise. He has no idea that in just a few months, the woman in blue will become a regular visitor and his number one mistress - also known as Madame de Pompadour.
