Like most real-life fairy tales, Lime Crime began as one girl's dream to make the world a brighter place. Conceptualized in 2008 as an answer to a beauty industry ironically often devoid of color, NYC-LA based makeup artist and style blogger, Doe Deere, teamed up with a group of chemists to create a line of cosmetics she's always dreamed of.

Lime Crime challenges the norm with fashion-forward shades and unmatched color payoff, which allows you to create looks as vivid and unique as you are. We are committed to providing the kind of fantasy makeup experience you deserve and couldn't get from any other brand! Our mascot, a sparkling unicorn, serves as a symbol of individuality and freedom of self-expression. Advancing the idea of a modern woman using makeup as more than just the means to get pretty -- but, indeed, as an accessory -- Lime Crime lipsticks are encased in purple unicorn-adorned tubes, making every application a fantastical event!

Doe Deere: Founder/Creative Director 

Doe Deere was born in Russia and moved to New York City at the age of 17. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband & business partner Mark, and three cats. She was named one of the 'Top Inspiring Women Enterpreneurs of 2010' by Self-Made magazine alongside Suze Orman and Arianna Huffington.
